Christmas in Indiana

Once again, we traveled back to the Midwest to visit our family for the holidays. Everyone lives in the same city so its a nice one shot deal to cover a lot of visits.

Christmas

Christmas always comes early at our house since we are in Indiana on the holiday itself. So the night before was all about the preparations.

Check out that loot! The big item this year was the pillow pet. Santa brought each of the girls two. Great job Santa!

American Heritage Girls

The Joining Ceremony for the new American Heritage Girls troop was today. Reagan received her beads which signified that she had memorized all the different parts of her pledge. As a Pathfinder she is too young to earn badges. But instead earns beads for her American Heritage Girls necklace. She earns some for troop meeting attendance, others for memory work, and tonights beads for her pledge work.

At the very end of the ceremony Sydney was asked to stay on stage. Reagan was then asked to come up on stage and join her sister. Sydney, a TenderHeart, had to pledge to be Reagan’s guide and support throughout her last year as a Pathfinder. It was cute.

Christmas Program

It was once again time for the annual school Christmas program. This would be our third year watching Sydney and her classmates do their thing on stage. But wait!! This year we would have two kids on stage. That’s right, as a kindergartener this would be Reagan’s first time up on stage in front of the school. She practiced her song for weeks before the big day. She was so excited for the show that she was constantly asking Mommy how much longer it would be before we would leave.

Before the big show there were photo ops with her teachers.
