10! That’s both hands with all the fingers. She made it. We made it.
Birthdays on school days are hard but we made the most of it. She took a cookie pizza to school for the class. Then she opened gifts from family and friends after school. Her big gift was a skateboard. She is a tom-boy. It is a “surf skateboard” as the trucks on the bottom are really loose so you can performing surfing movements to go along. And when the wind is high, just use a PVC stick as a paddle!
Then it was off to Red Robin for dinner. Her choice. Every year. Every week.
Being the middle child is hard but having the first birthday chronologically every year — priceless!
